Scientists fix rogue protein in mice that leads to Alzheimer's, brain damage

A team of researchers report they’ve discovered the “missing link” between traumatic brain injuries and degenerative brain diseases, and developed a special antibody that may help prevent the conditions - at least in mice. Kun Ping Lu, professor of medicine at Beth Israel Deaconess Medical Center, is the study’s co-senior author. Alvaro Pascual-Leone, professor of neurology at Beth Israel Deaconess Medical Center, is an author on the paper.
