Medical Education as a Pathway to Better Care

“Hearing about different medical education systems and projects from classmates around the world has broadened my understanding of what’s possible in this field.”

Who Should Apply

The Master of Medical Sciences in Medical Education program is open to those who already possess or are in the process of completing a terminal academic or professional credential, such as MD, MBBS, PhD, or other doctoral degree in nursing, pharmacy, public health, or health professions-related fields.

Health professionals without a doctoral degree, for whom education is a central part of their professional mission, may still be eligible and should contact program leadership to learn more.

Applicants to the program should ensure that they have protected time from work to complete the program. We expect full-time students to protect approximately 80% of their professional efforts, or approximately 4 days per week, to the program and coursework. We expect part-time students to protect approximately 40% of their professional efforts, or approximately 2 days per week, to the program and coursework.
