Student Perspectives
Students in the Master of Science in Healthcare Quality and Safety program come to the work with firsthand experience of how health systems succeed and where they fall short. They are clinicians and health care leaders who have seen the consequences of fragmented processes, preventable harm, and inequitable care, and who are motivated to change those systems from the inside. Drawing on diverse professional roles and practice settings from around the world, these students approach quality and safety as disciplines that require both technical skill and cultural change. They are interested in measurement, improvement science, and leadership, but also in the human dimensions of care that shape outcomes every day. The perspectives below highlight how students translate their clinical experience into strategic thinking.
