Researchers have discovered a key molecule in the immune system that may effectively inhibit the growth of melanoma – a revolutionary find that could pave the way for new treatments of skin cancer. Thomas Kupper, the Thomas B. Fitzpatrick Professor of Dermatology and chair of the Department of Dermatology at Brigham and Women’s Hospital, is one of the lead authors of the study.
