Nancy Oriol, HMS associate professor of anaesthesia and faculty associate dean for community engagement in medical education, was honored with the 2019 Pearl Birnbaum Hurwitz Humanism in Healthcare award from the Arnold P. Gold Foundation at a ceremony on Nov. 20 at Harvard Medical School. She received the award in recognition of her lifetime of service, including her work establishing the Family Van, a mobile health care service, and the HMS MEDscience Program.
