Writing at Harvard Medical School
Harvard Medical School is dedicated to the success of all of its students. Whether English is your native language, or it's your fourth or fifth, we have resources to help you excel during your time at Harvard Medical School and beyond.
Our offerings include:
- One-on-one writing support sessions for assignment assistance, thesis and capstone work, grant proposals, conference presentations, PhD applications, interviewing techniques and practice, and more
- Monthly workshops on targeted writing topics, open to all students and optional to attend
- Program-specific curated workshop series
- INDP 300: Writing and Communication for the Biomedical Sciences, a credited course offered each fall semester
- Spring Independent Study, a credited course geared toward self-paced, small-group learning
- Student orientation session held each fall, required for all students, designed to cover fundamentals of academic honesty and best citation practices
