Student Perspectives
Students in the Master of Science in Media, Medicine, and Health program are united by a belief that storytelling is a powerful tool for shaping health outcomes. They come from medicine, public health, journalism, advocacy, policy, and the arts, bringing different forms of expertise to a shared project: communicating complex health issues in ways that are accurate, ethical, and compelling. These students are interested not only in what stories are told, but in who gets to tell them. They approach storytelling as both craft and responsibility, attentive to evidence, audience, and impact. The perspectives below highlight how students use media to bridge disciplines, elevate underrepresented voices, and contribute to more informed and equitable conversations about health.
