Student Perspectives

Students in the Master of Medical Sciences in Medical Education program come to the work with a shared belief that how we teach medicine matters, and that education itself is a powerful site of intervention. They are clinicians, educators, and health professionals for whom teaching is not an add-on, but a core part of their professional identity. Many arrive with years of experience training learners in clinical, classroom, or community settings and are ready to examine their teaching practices with greater intention and evidence. These students are willing to step back from the pace of daily work to engage deeply with educational theory, curriculum design, assessment, and scholarship. The perspectives below reflect how they think critically about learning environments, equity, and professional formation.
