In Memoriam: Alun G. Jones

Dr. Alun G. Jones, professor of radiology at Harvard Medical School and Brigham and Women’s Hospital, died on Saturday, Oct. 20, at the age of 71. Dr. Jones was an innovative chemist and renowned expert in nuclear medicine whose work in radiopharmaceuticals significantly helped establish a branch of nuclear medicine known as single photon emission computed tomography, or SPECT.

Private services were held in October, and a public memorial service is planned for Dec. 1. In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to the Bourne Conservation Trust or the Alun G.
