Clinicians, researchers, practitioners, educators and students are invited to attend the 2016 Integrative Medicine Network Forum, which will convene Boston’s integrative medicine community with the aim of facilitating connection, cooperation and collaboration.

Organized by the Osher Center for Integrative Medicine at HMS and Brigham and Women’s Hospital, the IM Forum will take place on Nov. 18 at the Joseph B. Martin Conference Center at HMS.

Building on the success of the inaugural IM Research Forum of 2014, the conference will also highlight the local clinical network of integrative practitioners and the launch of a new virtual IM clinical network map.

Keynote speaker Alessio Fasano, a member of the faculty of pediatrics and division chief of pediatric gastroenterology and nutrition at Massachusetts General Hospital and HMS, will set the tone by using his research on gluten-related and intestinal permeability disorders as an area to explore in the context of integrative medicine.

Following his talk, a clinical panel will host a discussion of the implications of Fasano’s research for integrative medicine service providers. The conference proceedings will also include a broad range of IM research and clinical presentations, a rich selection of poster presentations and a concluding audience question-and-answer session.

Who should attend:

  • Integrative and conventional medicine clinicians, researchers and educators interested in learning more about how integrative medicine research can translate into clinical care and practice.
  • Boston practitioners wishing to connect with others in the integrative medicine community.
  • Medical students seeking to learn more about the integrative medicine network in Boston.

The program is free and takes place on Friday, Nov. 18, 8 a.m. – 2 p.m. For more details and registration information, please visit www.oshercenter.org or contact Aterah Nusrat at anusrat1@partners.org or 617.525.8737.
