Beginning in January, the HMS Office for Faculty Affairs will present a series of talks about the new criteria for appointment and promotion at HMS and HSDM. The series will start with a kick-off presentation and reception on Jan. 7 at the HMS new research building and will also include talks at all affiliated institutions. These guidelines provide a framework for promotion that recognizes and rewards new models of investigation and clinical care as well as innovation in education. By allowing the sum total of an individual’s achievements to be considered in the evaluation for promotion, the new criteria provide many different paths to academic advancement. Listed below is the schedule of presentations. To register, please go to www.hmspromotions.org.
