Lymphangioleiomyomatosis — LAM for short — is a rare disease in which abnormal, smooth muscle-like cells grow out of control, usually in the kidney, lymph nodes and lungs. It develops almost exclusively in women during their childbearing years. This video tells the story of how researchers, physicians and patients have pulled together and the progress they have made.
