While picking up a prescription for cholesterol-lowering medication, about one in 20 people with conditions such as asthma, chronic obstructive pulmonary disease or high blood pressure will also purchase cigarettes, a new study finds. Joshua Gagne, assistant professor of medicine at Brigham and Women’s Hospital, led the research.
