Harvard Catalyst, the Harvard Clinical and Translational Science Center, has 45 spots for MDs, PhDs or the equivalent in each of two Responsible Conduct of Research (RCR) courses, at no cost:
Fridays, January 27–March 9, 2012
Harvard School of Public Health, Kresge Hall G1
Fridays, March 16–May 4, 2012
Faculty of Arts and Sciences (location TBD)
Registration opens Dec. 2, 2011. To apply, visit http://catalyst.harvard.edu/services/rcr/.
The courses combine didactics and small-group discussion by research training faculty in fulfillment of RCR recommendations from the National Science Foundation and National Institutes of Health (NIH).
RCR instruction is required for all trainees, fellows and scholars who receive grant or award support (for example, for research training and/or education, and career development). NIH highly encourages face-to-face discussion as a component of successful training.
This policy affects all new and renewal applications submitted on or after January of 2010, and all continuation applications with deadlines falling on or after January of 2011.
