Harvard professor among veterans to get Congressional Gold Medal

Susumu Ito, the James Stillman Professor of Comparative Anatomy Emeritus at HMS, along with other Japanese American soldiers of the 100th Infantry Battalion, the 442nd Regimental Combat Team and the Military Intelligence Service, will be honored today with the Congressional Gold Medal for exemplary service during World War II.
