Celebrate Harvard’s 375th birthday Friday evening, October 14, with faculty, staff, students and alumni from every school for an evening of fabulous desserts, a memorable musical performance and a dance party backed by a popular cover band.

Roving about will be student performers—dancers, musicians, soloists and a cappella groups. A costume parade led by HMS participants will proceed from Dudley House to a Tercentenary Theatre transformed by lighting and special effects, near the Old Yard where English settlers created this country’s first college.

Revelers will enjoy the sublime strains of cellist Yo-Yo Ma, ’76, as well as music from the Harvard-Radcliffe Orchestra and a chorus of students. Don’t miss the 15-by-18-foot red velvet birthday cake by Flour bakery chef and Harvard alumna JoAnne Chang, ’91, and treats from Taza chocolate and other local providers.
