Crystallizing DNA: Scientists make first large DNA crystals for nanotechnology

By crystallizing DNA, researchers have created structures unlike any seen before. The DNA crystals could potentially be used as the basis of a programmable material platform, leading to new advances in computing, biology and many other fields. Donald Ingber, Judah Folkman Professor of Vascular Biology at Boston Children’s Hospital and director of the Wyss Institute, and Peng Yin, associate professor of systems biology at the Wyss Institute, are quoted.
