1. Is this a part-time program that I can take when I want in my spare time?  

The workshops are scheduled for specific days during the year and the modules will be available online 24 hours per day, 7 days per week.

2. Can you give me more information on how the webinars will be scheduled, specifically at what times?  

The webinars will be scheduled for various time zones and will generally be scheduled in the morning for North America, and afternoons or evenings for other parts of the world.

3. Is attendance required at workshops other than the workshops in Vijayawada and Visakhapatnam?

No. The only workshops you are required to attend are those in Vijayawada, January 30 – February 2, 2017 and Visakhapatnam, September 30 – October 3, 2017.

4. What does the cost of tuition include?

Tuition covers the cost of the program only. It does not include cost for travel, lodging, and meals. Books are also not included.

5. What is the financial commitment expected from participants?

Apply by December 15, 2016 ($2,500). The total financial commitment will depend on where you will be traveling from, the mode of travel, and the type of accommodation you book.

6. What is the payment procedure? Can I pay in installments?

A completed application, with supporting documents, must be submitted first. Once your application is accepted, payment will be required in full. On an exceptional basis we may consider payment in installments; a request for installment payments must be made in writing to the program director.

7. Will there be a possibility of refund?

Once you are accepted in the program and after your payment is made, no refund is permitted unless the program is cancelled.

8. When will I be notified of acceptance?

Applications will be reviewed when all required documents have been received. You will be notified regarding your application within 3-4 weeks of receipt of all materials.

9. How many students are expected to enroll?

Full enrollment is expected to be 150 students.

10. Who will issue the Certificate of Completion?

The certificate will be from Harvard Medical School and will be provided to scholars in good standing who have completed all the requirements of the program.

11. Could successful completion of this program be converted to credits that could be applied to a degree program?

The program does not provide academic credits.


12. Can this program be completed without having to come to Harvard Medical School for one year?

You do not need to come to Harvard Medical School for a year.  The program is presented in a blended learning format, with both online and face-to-face workshop components. Workshops, four days long each, are held in Vijayawada and Visakhapatnam. Both the online and face-to-face workshops are mandatory components of the program.

13. Do I have to be a resident of the USA to participate?  

No, you do not need to be a resident or citizen of the USA.

14.  What employment opportunities are available after completing this program?

As an educational program only, there are no associated opportunities for employment.

15. Is this an online only course or does one have to travel to the USA?

This is a blended-learning program. Online lectures will be available 24 hours per day, 7 days per week.  There are two workshops - one in Vijayawada and one in Visakhapatnam.

16. What if I don't have internet access?

We strongly urge you to have a reliable internet connection in place. 

17. Will a translator be available if I do not speak English?

There will be no translators.  The program is in English and fluency in English is required to participate.

18. When will the program begin?

The 2017 – 2018 T2T program begins on January 29 , 2017, with the first workshop taking place in Vijayawada (January 30 – February 2, 2017).

19. Upon being accepted to the program, should I purchase airline tickets and make travel arrangements?

No. Please do not purchase non-refundable airline ticket(s) until you have received an email from our office confirming your paid registration AND confirmation that the program will be held.

20. What is the time commitment for the program?

The time commitment on average is approximately 7 to 10 hours each week.

21. What if I don't attend all or even some of the workshops?

Attendance at the workshops is a required feature of this program. If a student cannot attend a workshop, a petition must be submitted to the Education Committee for review and approval.  Please also note that in order to obtain the certificate you also need to attend a minimum of 75% of the webinars and submit and obtain a "pass grade" for all assignments.

22. For how long will I be able to view the pre-recorded videos after the program is concluded.

The web platform with the recorded videos will remain in place for 1 year after the completion of the program.

23. Does the program offer discounts if candidates apply as a group?

We do not offer any discounts to the program. We receive and welcome multiple students in any one year from the same institution.
