HMS Office of Global Education

Harvard Medical School Office of Global Education (OGE) offers a range of skills-based career development programs to medical professionals, scientists and healthcare leaders throughout the world. The fresh and innovative approaches of these programs can be adapted to the specialized needs of an individual, an institution or a region.

The blended learning approach of the OGE programs combines online and live teaching in an interactive format to allow participation from busy clinicians and clinician-scientists worldwide. One example is the Global Clinical Scholars Research Training Program, a 12-month course that tasks students with working together across international borders and time zones to build a strong foundation in the methods and conduct of clinical research. This program and similar program offerings enable healthcare professionals – wherever they may reside – to access hands-on, team based approaches and one-on-one interactions with Harvard Medical School faculty.
