Conferencing

IT web conferencing enables our students and faculty to create meetings with the option of inviting other participants. Web conferencing tools include application sharing as well as chatting and working with shared documents in real time. The most common web conference applications that users may find are Microsoft Lync, Skype, and Google Hangout.

Instant Messaging

HMS uses Microsoft Lync as the primary software that allows users to instant message, share documents, send screen shots, and hold video conferences.  All HMS/HSDM quad-based faculty, students, postdoc, and staff are eligible to use Microsoft Lync.  For more information and access to installers and installation instructions, please visit the Lync page.
