Harvard Medical School's Facilities Maintenance and Operations Department is committed and engaged to the ever changing environmental movement. Harvard University's environmental goal define our efforts to reduce our carbon emissions, reduce waste and increase recycling, lower our energy consumption, and conserver our natural resources.

HMS achieved a 17% reduction in its greenhouse gas emissions from 2006 to 2016

The Longwood base buildings achieved a 21% reduction in its greenhouse gas emissions from 2006 to 2016
