Class Agent Program
Each class agent is responsible for providing leadership for the fundraising efforts of his or her class each year. As a class agent, alumni play a vital role in keeping their classmates connected with the School and encouraging their annual support of HMS students through their personal dedication, enthusiasm, and gift contributions.
Representing more than 58 classes, 74 Class Agents solicited over 9,000 alumni in FY13
- 32% of alumni gave to the School
- More than $1.94 million was contributed by alumni, through the Alumni Fund and the Amphitheater Chairs program, to support immediate-use student scholarships
- 14 classes had a donor participation rate of 50% or higher
Beth Y. Karlan, MD ’82 serves as Chair of the Harvard Medical School Alumni Fund. In this role, she is the spokesperson for the Alumni Fund, continuing a long tradition of alumni giving back to Harvard Medical School and helping to shape the lives of future leaders, clinicians, and scientists.
