Membership to the University-Wide Online Community is available to all alumni and allows you to find fellow alumni, register for Reunions and other events, vote in the Alumni Council election, set up your post.harvard email address, and much more. In order to take advantage of all that your community has to offer, you must register with Alumni.Harvard to establish a user ID and password. You only need to register for the community once. When you return to Alumni.Harvard, you simply enter your User ID and password when prompted when you go to the member's only areas of the community.
If you are having trouble registering, or forget your User ID or password, please contact the HAA help desk. You should get a response within 48 hours (weekdays only).
Your Harvard Alumni Association (HAA) ID is a 10-digit number used to uniquely identify you (this is different from your Harvard ID number, and different from your Alumni.Harvard user ID). You only need to use your HAA ID once, when you first register for Alumni.Harvard. You can find your HAA ID in the footer at the bottom of a recent email sent from Harvard, such as Harvard Monthly or HAA eVENTS. If have not received these emails or are unable to find your HAA ID, please please contact the HAA help desk. You should get a response within 48 hours (weekdays only).
Use the Alumni.Harvard Directory to search for fellow alumni. Please note that alumni can choose to show or hide all or part of their records. You will need your Alumni.Harvard user ID and password to access this feature. If you don’t have a User ID and Password, you can register for one.
Alternatively, you can send an email addressed to the alumna/us you are trying to reach to email@example.com, and we will forward your message to the email address we have on file so s/he can contact you directly.
Use the profile update tool in the Alumni.Harvard Directory to update your name, address, phone number, email, etc. Updating your contact information online also updates our mailing lists, ensuring that you receive event invitation, Harvard Medicine, Reunion notices, and other materials from HMS.
Alternatively, you can send your updated contact information to firstname.lastname@example.org.
Email your news to email@example.com. Be sure to include your full name and class year.
Please send their name, class year, and the date they passed to firstname.lastname@example.org. Please include a link to the obituary if possible. Notices are posted in the online "In Memoriam" section of the website within ten days.
Check out the "Getting Involved" section of the website for opportunities for you to use your knowledge and expertise to benefit the School.
Visit the "Regional Events" section of the website to see a list of upcoming events. Also, please be sure to keep your contact information up-to-date in Alumni.Harvard so we can mail invitations as things come up.
The Registrar's Office maintains the permanent record for every graduate and can provide transcripts, verifications of degree conferred, and other material needed for licensure and/or hospital staff appointments upon request. Visit their website for more information on how to access any of these services.
If you would like to borrow from the library, you may apply for an alumni card. Please complete a borrower application and drop it off at the Circulation desk. There is a $15 charge for the card and you will need to have your photo taken at this time. Access to the Countway Library is only available in person and not electronically due to the terms of the license agreements Harvard signs with journal publishers.
You can access the book Harvard Quinquennial, which lists all Harvard graduates from 1636 to 1905. You can access a pdf of The Harvard Medical School: A History, Narrative, and Documentary. 1782-1905.
Alumni have a long tradition of giving back to HMS and gifts to the Alumni Fund have an immediate impact on our students and their education. Learn more about the types of gifts accepted and how to give to HMS.
