OBI Grants Financials Dashboards
Training is coming soon!! Anyone who will be using the Grants Financials dashboards (PER replacement) needs to enroll for end user training. The two-hour instructor-led course begins later this month and continues through October. The training calendar is available here. Information will also be posted on the Office for Sponsored Projects website. So make sure to check it out and sign up for a session.
New Policy - Responsibilities of Purchasers, Preparers and Approvers (ROPPA) effective March 1, 2016.
The Responsibilities of Purchasers, Preparers and Approvers Policy (ROPPA) became effective on March 1st. This is a revision of the previous Stewardship Policy and provides guidance to those making purchases with Harvard funds and to those preparing and approving transactions with Harvard funds. This includes individuals who hold Corporate or P-cards, process web reimbursements, transact in HCOM, as well as those who sign invoices or negotiate quotes with vendors.

Important new requirements to note: A Eureka training module has been developed which is approximately 20 minutes in length http://eureka.harvard.edu//Eureka/aicc_directLaunch.cfm?course_ID=1486. This training module will be mandatory for new employees prior to their receiving access to HCOM, Web-reimbursement, Corporate or P-cards beginning May 1st. At the medical school we will also be implementing an annual certification process for all users of those procurement tools, which will be based on the checklist items addressed in the policy appendix and will coincide with the beginning of the fiscal year.

Oracle Business Intelligence (OBI) is a new reporting platform currently under development by the University. The OBI dashboards are replacing the current CREW reporting system, and we are now live with CAPS, Accounts Receivable, Cash Management and Accounts Payable dashboards. The CREW reports for these subject matters are now disabled. Individuals needing access to these reports must complete training first, then go through the authorized requestor process. Please contact Christine Jones with any questions about the process for access to the live reports.
The OBI-GMAS reporting dashboard is close to release at HMS with planned rollout in mid May.
The OBI Project Team is beginning the planning phase of the OBI financial dashboards (which includes detail listing), with anticipated rollout during FY17.
