School
Accessibility

HMS Shield and Link to the Home Page
The HMS shield with the words “Harvard Medical School” beside
or below it linking to the school's homepage (http://hms.harvard.edu)
should be on each page, preferably located in the top left corner.
Last Updated
All time-sensitive pages
must display at least the month and year in which they were last
updated.
Meta Tags
Using meta tags will help search engines find your pages. Information
on using meta tags can be found here.
Copyright Notice
Copyright notice should read “Copyright 2009
The President and Fellows of Harvard College” or “©2009
The President and Fellows of Harvard College.”
Links to Commercial Web Sites
Links to commercial web sites are discouraged and should be limited
to companies that are active partners with the School. Review by
the Harvard Name Committee is required. Even these links should
be text only, not corporate logos, and should be low and
not prominent on the page.
Approval Process
Before the URL is established and the web site goes on the live
server, the Office of Communications and External Relations needs to review content
and design for those few issues where we look for consistency
across the Harvard Medical web. Web server access and URLs are
generally discussed during the review process. Please call (617)
432-0442.
