Daniel G. Ennis, Executive Dean for Administration
Welcome to the office of the Executive Dean for Administration at
Harvard Medical School.
The Executive Dean oversees the business functions of the Medical School including
the offices of financial services, information
technology, human
resources, communications
and public affairs, and all the academic enterprises, facilities and services
at Harvard Medical School.
HMS faculty and staff are invited to the Executive Dean’s Town Meetings,
held several times a year.
Daniel Ennis is a member of the Dean’s office, focusing on developing the
mission and strategic direction for the School and implementing the strategy. He
has held several positions in the University’s Finance Office prior to
coming to the Medical School. In his role as director of Harvard’s Office
of Budgets, Financial Planning and Institutional Research, he was responsible
for evaluating proposed operating and capital budgets for the University and
tuition changes on behalf of the President, Provost, and CFO. Additional financial
leadership responsibilities included oversight of financial planning for the
Allston campus development.
Dean Ennis is also a Harvard alum, graduating with a Master of Business
Administration from Harvard Business School and a Master in Public
Administration from Harvard’s
John F. Kennedy School of Government. He currently serves on the Alumni Advisory
Board. Before joining the Finance Office he worked at McKinsey & Company,
a management consulting firm, where he led a strategic review of Harvard’s
central administration. |
