I am beginning to be more optimistic that our new innovations in science and technology will help bring about new discoveries and cures that continue to plague other nations.
As an RN working in a Texas we’ve seen cases that have not been common like TB (tuberculosis) and even Chagas Disease. Although primarily thought to be confined to Latin American Countries, it is a challenge in terms of educating patients on prevention and physicians on how to look for diseases in patients that were once thought to be uncommon.
With the appearance of so many drug resistant superbugs throughout the world i feel it is of the utmost importance to support major studies of ways to control them.Cost cutting and budget cuts by the major financial bodies does nothing to help matters,it is time for us all to get our priorities right.
