I sleep only 7 hours, I have to sleep more.
Well, being one who sleeps 7 or less hours per night, I have to wonder how accurate these sleep studies are. Americans sleep less than 8.5 to 9 hours, so how is it that we are living longer and healthier than ever. I believe there truly is much to be understood about sleep, and as science digs deeper, I predict it will be found that less sleep, with adequate REM sleep, is sufficient.
Most adults SHOULD get 8.5 to 9 hours sleep (preferably 9, as it’s synchronized with the sleep cycle), but I doubt that happens. Even weekends don’t allow most adults that amount of sleep.
The only thing that can be done is promote awareness, but I doubt schools and workplaces will allow students and workers to arrive late.
