About Us
The mission of Harvard Medical School is to create and nurture a community of the best people committed to leadership in alleviating human suffering caused by disease.
The Walter Bradford Cannon Society, along with the other Academic Societies, is committed to
the advancement of this mission. Thus, the Cannon Society is committed to the promotion and
support of the academic and professional development of its students. The Society encourages scholarship, personal growth and collegiality through a system of academic advising and a series of enrichment programs. The Society acts as a social center for Cannon students, and encourages on-going contact between students and faculty. Cannon Society faculty and staff provide students with personal and professional support, and help guide students through their educational experience.
