IN757.RHE - Human Systems: Rheumatology (October-November)

Course Description

Attention will first focus on the biology of cartilage and bone as a background for a discussion of diseases that affect them. An overview of rheumatoid arthritis, the prototypic systemic rheumatic disease, and newly developed biologic therapies will follow. There will be opportunity to engage with patients who are invited to serve as panelists after several of the clinical lectures. Clinical scenarios will be presented in a small group case-based format over three days.

Opportunities Available

  • Small Group Instructor: Meets with 12-13 students three days for an hour each day.
