Human Systems: Renal Pathophysiology
The major focus of the Human Systems course is on disease mechanisms. The Renal Block of Human Systems runs for 4 weeks. The course provides a pathophysiologic understanding of renal disorders in the following areas: fluid, electrolyte, and acid-base disorders; parenchymal renal disease; acute and chronic renal failure; and pathology of renal disease. - Tutor: Meets with 8 students 3 times per week for 1.5 hours to facilitate clinical case discussion.
