Course Description
The major focus of the Human Systems course is on disease mechanisms. The Hematologic Pathophysiology section is 3 weeks in length. The course presents a logical approach for understanding hematologic disorders based on a framework that examines why patients might have cells or proteins that are too few, too many, or dysfunctional -- and how these abnormalities translate into clinical findings.
