The Ombudsperson can help explore concerns about

  • Career Management including performance, evaluation, future prospects, departure, references
  • Work/Academic Environment including peer relationships, supervisor/ee relationship, leadership, departmental functioning, physical conditions, workload
  • Research including authorship, proprietorship, conflict of interest, professional misconduct
  • Fair Treatment including terms or conditions of employment or education, failure to follow policy or procedure, retaliation
  • Interpersonal Relationships including poor communication, lack of cooperation, lack of civilty, difficult dynamics
  • Sexual Harassment including perceived or actual unwanted sexual behavior, inappropriate relationships
  • Discrimination including behavior or treatment regarding race, color, sex, sexual orientation, gender identity, religion, age, national or ethnic origin, political beliefs, veteran status, or disability 
  • Resource Request including access to, understanding of policies/procedures, other information
  • Prevention including general information, training, brochures and presentations
  • Other issues including safety, housing, ethical dilemmas not related to any of the above, personal issues not occurring in the workplace
