Oliver Wendell Holmes Society
The Oliver Wendell Holmes Society is committed to the advancement of the mission of the Harvard Medical School: "to create and nurture a diverse community of the best people committed to leadership in alleviating human suffering caused by disease". The Oliver Wendell Holmes Society is committed to the promotion and support of the academic and professional development of medical students. The Holmes Society encourages scholarship, personal growth and collegiality through a system of academic advising and a series of enrichment programs. The Society acts as a social center for Holmes students, and allows for on-going contact between students and faculty. Holmes Society faculty and staff provide students with a rich abundance of personal and professional support, and help guide students through their educational experience, which we think should be enjoyable.
