IACUC Education Series
The IACUC is committed to providing on-going support and education to the HMA research community. Join the IACUC staff for these new, informal presentations including time for questions and answers. Each session will include new topics, but will always include a discussion on how to best write at least one section of an animal protocol each time.

New Policies, Departing PIs, and Protocol Writing
Please join us for the second session in our new IACUC Educational Series. During this session, we will cover specific information about new policies such as the Policy on Abbreviated Training for short-term visitors/students/guests, and Dual Protocol Assignment of Animals. The IACUC administrative process for PIs who are leaving the institution will also be reviewed. This session, Section I and N (Administered Substances and Diet and Other Environmental Changes) of the protocol form will be reviewed. General administrative updates will also be provided. Please come with any other questions!

Do you want to know about the newest policies and regulations coming from the IACUC? Do you want to hear from the IACUC staff tips on the best way to write your animal protocol?....then this session is for you! We will cover specific information about new policies such as Occupational Health, Disaster Planning, updates to the AVMA Guidelines on Euthanasia, and tracking breeding animals. This session, section A (Animal Usage and breeding) of the protocol form will be reviewed. General administrative updates will also be provided. Please come with any other questions!
