Stephen Zinner, MD
Professor of Medicine
Stephen H. Zinner, M.D., board-certified specialist in Internal Medicine with a subspecialty in Infectious Diseases, is the Charles S. Davidson Professor of Medicine, Harvard Medical School, and Chair, Department of Medicine, Mount Auburn Hospital in Cambridge. Dr. Zinner's chief research interests include antibiotic development (in vitro pharmacodynamic models) and infectious diseases in general (new antimicrobial agents, infections in febrile neutropenic patients, sexually transmitted diseases, etc.). He received his medical degree from the University of Pennsylvania School of Medicine; and pursued research fellowships in Medicine, and Bacteriology and Immunology at HMS and Boston City Hospital and in Infectious Diseases at the Channing Laboratory.
